An innovative car Treasure Hunt organized by the committee of Palanpur Rocks saw teams of members and their guests try to race across the city deciphering clues and tracking down treasure scattered over 13 different locations. The programme, held on January 24, 2010 began with a relaxed South Indian breakfast at Priyadarshini Park followed by a briefing for the participating teams on the competition.

After the flag off, the cars criss-crossed a large area from Radio Club to Nepean Sea Road, and the Shripal Nagar Derasar to Worli Dairy and the World Trade Centre. The aim was to follow the clues and locate 13 ‘diamonds’ and three scavenger items, all within a maximum of 90 minutes.

Some creative tracking and skilful driving brought all the participants to the finish where they were treated to a sumptuous South Indian lunch. The prize distribution followed, and all went home with precious memories of a great morning.
