Rajiv M. Mehta Receives Banas Ratna Award 2025-26

Rajivbhai Mahendrabhai Mehta, Managing Trustee of the Ratnanidhi Charitable Trust, Mumbai was honoured by the Rotary Club of Palanpur City with the Banas Ratna Award for the year 2025–26. The award was presented by DGE Shri Naimishbhai Ravani.

The award is conferred annually on individuals originally from Banaskantha who have rendered outstanding and commendable service in fields such as social service, education, healthcare, and religion.

RNCT has undertaken numerous projects in various areas, including providing Jaipur Foot prosthetics, tricycles, calipers, libraries, education support, and food for the needy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the trust distributed more than 4,000 oxygen machines and provided meals to those in need.

Speaking on the occasion, DGE Naimishbhai Ravani appreciated that the Trust had not been names after an individual, but its name gave a deeper meaning to the diamond business run by the family. He also noted that many of the RNCT projects within the district have been carried out in association with the Rotary Club.

Rajivbhai, while expressing his gratitude to the organisers, stated that the values of service were inherited from his revered parents, and he continues to walk on the path shown by them. He added that through his service activities, he strives to repay the debt to his hometown and country.
