VMT Alumunus Radhika Patel Represents India at U-19 SAFF Women's Futsal Championship 2026

Vidyamandir alumnus Radhika Prakashbhai Patel, a resident of Palanpur, has been selected for the Indian Women's Futsal Football Team that will participate in SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship 2026 that is being held from January 31 to February 7, 2026 in Nepal. She has earlier also played for the country at the Asia Cup in 2025.

This was the latest high in her career as a young footballer which began about a decade ago when she represented her school and state at various levels in football and futsal. Radhika was a key member of the team that won the national level 'Girls National Futsal Championship (U-17)'. She also excelled in the state level trials, and was a part of the team that played in Manipur. In the same year, she also secured a place in the National Football Team (U-17).

Subsequently, she also performed brilliantly at the state level, winning a gold medal (first place) in the Khel Mahakumbh (U-17) and second place in the Subroto Mukherjee Cup (U-19). She made a significant contribution to her team winning the national-level tournament with huge victory margins.
