Palanpur Female Hospital Honoured with Prestigious ‘Dhanvantari Samman 2025'

Palanpur Female Hospital received the prestigious ‘Dhanvantari Samman 2025' under the category Humanitarian Service at the recent vTV News conclave held in Ahmedabad. The hospital was among the nine from Gujarat, and the only one from Banaskantha, on the winner’s list. The award was presented by Minister of Health, Government of Gujarat, Shri Rushikeshbhai Patel, and received by Dr. Satyatvatiben Kothari, senior Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, representing the institution and its Board of Trustees.

Female hospital is a unique 108-year-old charitable establishment specialising in mother & child care, gynaecology, and pediatrics. It has delivered uninterrupted healthcare for over a century, without receiving any government grants.

The award citation specifically highlighted the hospital’s commitment to providing equitable, charitable medical access to underprivileged and marginalized segments of society, entirety without sectarian bias.

Due to its unwavering focus on serving the most vulnerable, the hospital has been widely recognized as a preeminent and highly respected entity within Gujarat's philanthropic sector.

Earlier, the hospital was also honoured with the Indian Achievers Award for Healthcare Excellence by the lndian Economic Development & Research Association {IEDRA}, (2011), and the Motherhood Day Appreciation Award from the Gujarat government (2007).
