The Red Pen, an independent global education consultancy, recently announced that it had received a strategic investment from U.S. News & World Report, a global leader in education rankings and data-driven insights. Kim Dixit and Namita Mehta, Partners in The Red Pen describe this as a significant milestone for their company.
The Red Pen will continue to operate under Dixit and Mehta, who retain majority ownership, but U.S. News CFO and COO Neil Maheshwari will join the Board of Directors. Namita is married to Arnav Akshay Mehta, and is the daughter of Seema and Harshil Kantilal Kothari.
U.S. News is widely recognized for its unbiased journalism, data and rankings, which help students find the college or university that is right for them, while The Red Pen offers personalized guidance on university selection, application strategy, and interview preparation, the two said in a press release.
It added, that The Red Pen’s expertise in international education will enhance U.S. News’ understanding of the Indian landscape, enabling the development of more globally relevant content. Meanwhile, U.S. News’ proprietary data and insights will strengthen The Red Pen’s advisory services, providing students with a more comprehensive approach to admissions.
