Chirag J. Bhansali Volunteers During Covid Crisis at Shanghai Diamond Exchange

Chirag Jayesh Bhansali, a diamantaire running a diamond firm in Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE), has been one of the eager volunteers during the recent largest-ever lockdown in China, which impacted all those working at the SDE too.
 

Chirag is the son of Nita & Jayesh Bhansali from Kolkata. The Bhansali family is well known for their committed involvement in philanthropic activity.
 

 

Clad in his PPE suit, Chirag spent many hours volunteering during the worst period of the crisis. He was one of the few non-Chinese who joined in the effort. "Covid times have taught us a lot. Good or bad times will keep coming and going, it's our work which will be remembered. Look at the tweets on social media most are in Chinese. Instead of sitting at home I preferred to help people and to give back to society."
