KIRTI STAMBH TALEYBAUG TOWER HOUSE
A tall pillar constructed near the railway station in 1918 by Nawab Shri Taley Mohammed Khan to commemorate the gallantry of Shri Sher Mohammed Khan. It lists all the rulers of Jhalore and Palanpur. Named after Nawab Taley Mohammed Khan was the summer palace of the Nawabs, that was subsequently bought by Shri Amritlal Raichand Mehta, and later donated the Vidyamandir Trust. It will soon be converted into a permanent museum on Palanpur. Tower House (or Chandra Bhuvan) was built in 1933 by Shri Chandulal Raichand Mehta. Donated by wife to Vidyamandir Trust it houses the Balmandir classes.
