The diamond trade in Mumbai assembled in large numbers to pay their respects to senior diamantaire and respected industry leader Sanjay Kanubhai Shah, who had expired in New York on 29 April, at the BDB Complex on June 2, 2022. The condolence meeting was organized by the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) and The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). The SG Jhaveri Hall, where the meet was hosted, was packed to capacity on the occasion.
Three senior and well-known Palanpuri diamantaires – Anoop Mehta, Vipul Shah and Rajiv Mehta – have been chosen as members of the Board of Directors of the World Diamond Council (WDC) for the period 2022-24. Elections for eight of the 20 seats on the Board were held in early May, with Anoop Mehta and Vipul Shah being elected to represent Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) and The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) respectively on the Board in the Manufacturing and Wholesale Trade categories.

Neha, who is Trustee and Jt. Secretary of The SRCC Trust, spearheads various activities towards upliftment of children from the underprivileged sections of society specially in the health and education sectors. She is the daughter of Smita and Narendra Mafatlal Mehta.
